The star of the hit TV series Dae Jang Geum has been hired as the regional face of LG Electronics Co, replacing its western presenter, to capitalise on the rising infatuation for all things Korean. The Korean company has signed a contract with Li Yong A, the lead actress from the series, to present two TV commercials that will be broadcast across Asia this year, according to Somporn Jangreenapawong, marketing manager of LG Mitr Electronics Co, the local distributor.
