I believe that Geum-Young is not wicked as her Aunt. She is only forced to do the things that Lady Choi ordered her for their clan. She might feel jealous to Jang Geum whenever Jang Geum receives recognitions from the higher official especially from the Royal Family, but then I think it is just normal to feel like this because she considers Jang Geum as her rival.

Actually, there are many times that she showed her recognition on the ability and intelligence Jang Geum has. She even recognized that Jang Geum is better than her. That is why she also strived hard to discover things for the sake of her cooking skill.
