how cud i resist? it had all the elements that i love. a historical epic about an oriental culture, a tragic story full of hardships and drama (i shed a couple.. i cudnt help it), REALLY DEVIOUS characters that u cant wait to get skinned alive, an honorable FEMALE lead and a dashing MALE love interest, well executed cliffhangers on every episode to keep u at the edge of ur seats (thank GOD for dvd! my suffering only lasted for 2 minutes since i culd see what happens next with a touch of a button!) and FOOD! apparently, this miniseries revolved not just on the life of the leading character, but also on the two things i absolutely LOVE... food and medicine! now u know why i got hooked.....
