Because of the contest proposed by Madam Jung, Lady Han discover the illness that Jang Geum has eperienced. Lady Han became more worried with it. With Madam Jung permission, Lady Han brought Jang Geum to the doctors outside the Palace but they were failed to find a doctor who would help Jang Geum on her problem.

Jang Geum started to lose hope. But Lady Han strived hard to strengthen her faith. She even told Jang Geum, that she was the only hope that Lady Han has in winning the contest.
