you might wonder why I insisted using Doctor instead of Nurse as what the Tagalog translation of the Dae Jang Geum being aired by the GMA7. Actually, the nurses that are introduced by the Tagalog version of the Jewel in the Palace are not actually mere nurses. They are practicing medicine which is currently known as Physician not nurses.

For example, Jang Guk (I am not particular of the spelling) is not a mere nurse but a Doctor. Thus, it is right to use Lady Doctor for her as used by the Malaysian version of the Jewel in the Palace. Another example: Jang Geum became a Lady Doctor not a mere nurse according to the Korea's History.

So I am not convinced on how GMA7 used the term nurse to refer to Jang Guk, Jang Geum or other physicians in the Jewel in the Palace story.
